I’d love to be your coach.

People need to know your business, your cause, your story exists before they can throw money and appreciation your way. Maybe you can’t afford to buy a 30-second commercial yet, but you can get a 3-minute segment during the actual broadcast if you know what I know. As a former TV journalist, I’ve interviewed thousands of people and I know when I see and hear the right recipe for terrific television. I’ve also been the host left holding the bag when a guest doesn’t deliver and the segment is a stinker.

One-On-One Coaching

Let’s talk. I want to listen to your story. Really listen so I can target the best about you and your organization.

I’ll find the key points to make audiences fall in love with your story. We’ll also work on crafting some simple soundbites so you know how to deliver your best message. You’ll walk away from this meeting with a “Media Map” action plan detailing the ways you can attract the attention you deserve.

Let’s keep talking. With a few more hours, we’ve got enough time to really dig deep. I want to listen to what’s happening now but I also want to hear the back story.

Sometimes that’s where the gold nuggets of a brilliant story are hiding. These sessions should be done on-site so I can see what you and your organization has to offer visually. Remember the goal is to make great TV.

We’ll also work on crafting some simple soundbites so you know how to deliver your best message, plus with this extra time, let’s run through a mock interview segment. Nervous butterflies seem to fly away when you’ve prepared for the attention that’s coming.

You will also receive a “Media Map” action plan to attract the media using my must H.A.V.E. formula for producing great TV.

Aren’t you sick of me yet? No, okay great. :) Time for some heavy lifting and strategic planning.

I’ll listen to your current story, your back story and maybe some of the history of that dusty machine in the corner before we come up with a “Media Map” action plan for a YEAR of great ideas. Using my formula for what television producers and reporters must H.A.V.E. to make great TV, we’ll work on all the elements to make you, your staff and your place “camera-ready”.

If a reporter is coming for several “live” segments, I need to know everything so we can choose what to highlight and where to shine the place up. I’ll shine you up too from choosing what you should wear, what you should say and taking the time to practice, practice, practice.

A whole day gives me time to turn you into a “soundbite machine” plus we can record these mock interviews and play them back to review and make your performance even better.

I loved Katrina’s coaching. Our live television interview was a huge success for us – we still have people who come to our business saying that segment is how they heard about us.
