How to Ask For The Right Connection?

There are certain connections I have with people where I know God said, ”Here you go. Here’s the hook up!”

In those moments I feel like God is hugging me. Unfortunately, the feeling doesn’t come every day.

So why did I put a picture of an Alaskan Ulu Knife with this blog post. Good question. :)

I ordered a chopped salad from Subway and the guy behind the counter grabbed this half circle blade that formed exactly to the bowl. Smack, Smack, smack, I had a chopped salad. This gadget was quick and awesome. I asked, “What is that?” The salad/sandwich technician didn’t know what it was called or where I could get it.

So I left with my chopped salad and a desire for one of those knives.

Now fast forward about 7 months later. I was praying in the morning and hadn’t felt my super heaven connection in a while. So I said, “Lord, let me feel you today. Give me the goosebumbs.”

I went to work and eventually to lunch with a friend and quick trip to T.J. Maxx – because it’s the law. I love TJ’s.

I explained to my friend the type of knife I wanted, but we didn’t see it. At that very moment, I got a text message from my Dad.

It read, “Do you want or have any need for an Alaskan Ulu Knife?”

To which I replied, “If I knew what it was..I might.” He immediately called and explained it’s a curved blade to chop in a bowl and I can make you a bowl to match the handle.

I smiled. My friend got goosebumbs and I got the message loud and clear.20161116_144419
